KEYS, Anna Adelia, 84, passed away Easter Sunday, April 4th, 2010 at the
Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Mira Road, CBRM. Born in Sydney on May 7th,
1925, she was the daughter of the late John Ervin Canning and Jessie Ann
MacVicar. Anna worked for the Royal Bank of Canada and Eastern Light & Power
before settling down to raise her family. She and Walter were avid skaters,
skiers, swimmers and campers and spent many summer vacations and weekend
excursions in the Ingonish Beach area.

She is survived by her four sons; Eric (Lynn Carmichael) with whom she
lived in Sydney; David (Glenda), Middle Sackville; George (Donna), Dartmouth
and Bruce, Halifax. One brother, Gordon (Ollie), Sydney, also survives her
along with special niece, Arlene Canning, Sydney. She is also survived by
her five grandchildren, Anna-Cate; Aaron and Breton; Maria and Rachel. There
are many nieces, nephews and cousins who also survive her. She was
predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1998 and by seven brothers: Raymond, John,
Earl, Harry, Ervin, Norman (Fat) and Ralph.

There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held from St
Andrew's Church on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010. Arrangements have been entrusted
to Sydney Memorial Chapel for cremation and interment in Forest Haven
Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations in Anna's memory may be made to
the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of your choice.
