OBITUARY: Mrs. Lawson Lewis
Five Islands - Mrs. Lawson Lewis, 61, of Five Islands, died Sunday in the
Parrsboro Hospital. Born in Springhill, she was the former Maurietta Eunice
Spence, a daughter of the late Harmon and Mary (Spence) Spence. Surviving
are her daughter, Lynn (Mrs. Randolph Wile), Lower Sackville; two sons,
Leon, at home; Lawson, Lakeside; three sisters, Helen (Mrs. Jack Butts),
Evelyn (Mrs. Roy Dawson) and Mona (Mrs. Kenneth Hannah), all of Springhill;
five brothers, Harmon, Boston; Kenneth, Waverley; Ernest and Robert, both of
Springhill; Alvin, Oxford; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by
three brothers. The body is at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral will
be Tuesday at 2 p.m. In Peniel United Church, Five Islands, Rev. J. Lester
MacFarlane officiating. Burial will be in Lower Five Islands Cemetery.
