OBITUARY: Suther M. Johnson
Amherst - Suther Murray Johnson, 69, of Amherst Point, formerly of Amherst,
died Monday in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Truro, he
was the son of the late Ralph and Susan (Wynn) Johnson. He was affiliated
with Christ Church, Amherst. He is survived by his wife, the former Enid
Dowe; a daughter, Christine Morris, Amherst Point; a son, Cecil, Bramalea,
Ont.; several sisters and brothers; six grandchildren. The body has been
cremated. A graveside service will follow at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Johnson, Mrs. Enid Nora - 71, 64 Havelock Terrace, Amherst, died Wednesday
at Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Fox River, Cumberland
County, she was a daughter of the late Orey and Sara (Gough) Dowe. She was a
member of Christ Church, Amherst. She is survived by a daughter, Christine
(Mrs. Christopher Gaklis), Fort Lauderdale; a son, Cecil, Brampton, Ont.;
three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Johnson, Truro; Phoebe (Mrs. Walter Sears),
Amherst; Mrs. Alberta Wilson, Amherst Head; two brothers, Horace, Vaughn
(Duke), both of Amherst; several grandchildren; two great grandchildren. She
was predeceased by her husband, Suther; a son, Gordon; two infant sons;
three sisters, Florence, Eva, Jean; four brothers, Judson, Emmerson, Albert,
Lester. The body is at Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Visiting Thursday
2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Christ Church, Rev.
David S. Miles officiating. Committal service in Amherst Cemetery Vault.
Burial at Amherst Cemetery in the spring.
