Darlene Adams 1940-2010
Ella "Darlene" Adams 69 years of Springhill, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010, in QE II Health Science Centre, (Infirmary Site), Halifax, N. S. Born in Five Islands, she was a daughter of the Late Banford MacKenzie and Neva Madeline (Yorke) Adams. Darlene was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church, and an active member of the Willing Workers. She loved her family, enjoyed spending time with people and participating in card parties. She will be sadly missed by daughters, Laura Lee (Reg) Irving, Bedford, Tanya (Terry) Walker, Halifax; 5 grandchildren, Corey, Stephanie, Angel, Skyler, and Starr; sister-in-law, Beth Adams, Springhill; 3 nieces Angela, Wanda, Tammy; nephew Scott; close friend Ruth Beaton, Springhill. She was predeceased by daughter Deena Darlene and brother Elson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Springhill Baptist Church on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 2 pm, Rev. Paul Berry officiating. Burial will take place in the Five Islands Cemetery in the spring.
