Obit: LEADBETTER, Charles Irving

Pugwash - Charles Irving Leadbetter, 44, of Pugwash died Wednesday in the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Walter L. and Christie Ellen (MacLeod) Leadbetter. Surviving are his wife, the former Hilda Elsie Swain, Sydney River; a daughter, Cindy and a son Charles, both of Oxford; four sisters, Eleanor (Mrs. Freeman Coulter), Springhill, Genevieve (Mrs. Thomas Flynn), Wallace; Una (Mrs. Lloyd MacNeil), Stellarton and Annie (Mrs. James Grant), Meadowville, Pictou County; a brother, Hugh, Oxford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Elroy. The body is in Mundles Funeral Home, Pugwash, where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with burial in the Palmerston cemetery, Pugwash.
