Webb, Helen Jean

WEBB, Helen Jean - 73, Economy, Colchester County, died December 30,
1992, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a
daughter of the late Timothy and Annie (Brown) Fleet. She has been a
resident of Economy for more than 50 years and was a member of Economy
United Church. She is survived by three sons, David, Monson, Mass.;
Timothy, Dartmouth; Gary, Montrose; three daughters, Linda (Mrs. Burton
Roberts), Highland Village; Cathy (Mrs. Andrew Gibson), Truro; Lorna, at
home; three sisters, Lillian Currie, Viola Gordon, both of Halifax;
Alice (Mrs. Sidney Landry), Truro; 15 grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Elonzo; two
daughters, Gail, Gloria; son, Merton; brother, William; two sisters,
Mary, Eva. The body will be in Economy United Church, visiting 7-9 p.m.
Friday, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Robert Mack
officiating. Burial will be in Economy Cemetery. Donations may be made
to Economy United Church or any charity. Arrangements are under the
direction of Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro.

TANNER (WEBB), Charlotte Ena - 82, Dartmouth, died December 9, 1994, in
Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Westville, Pictou County, she was a
daughter of the late Alfred and Rhoda (Hemmings) Langille. She is
survived by daughters, Shirley (Mrs. James Tanner), Upper Sackville;
Elenor (Mrs. Charles MacKinnon), Minnie Colipitts, British Columbia;
Virginia (Mrs. Laurie Downing), Economy; Helen (Mrs. Lewis Faulkner),
Florida; sons, Hanson Webb, Economy; Marvin Webb, British Columbia;
Garfield Sutherland, Westville; brother, Alfred, Pictou; sisters, Gladys
Leadbeater, Westville; Mary MacDonald, New Glasgow; 25 grandchildren;
several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband,
Stewart Webb; second husband, William Tanner. Visitation will be 7-9
p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125
Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. The body will be transferred to Economy
United Church, Economy, where visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Monday
and where funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Robert Mack officiating.
Burial will be in Lower Five Islands Baptist Church Cemetery.

Tanner, Carl James Albert (Jim)

TANNER, Carl James Albert (Jim) - 69, Upper Sackville, formerly of
Bedford, died December 1, 1995, in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in
Dartmouth, he was a son of the late William and Beatrice (Smith) Tanner.
He was a veteran of the Second World War and was a well-known,
self-employed brick layer for many years. He was a past member of the
Engineers Club and an avid bowler. Surviving are his wife, the former
Shirley Marie Webb; daughters, Debbie (Mrs. Les Denney), Jean Wood,
Helen (Mrs. Paul Ford), all of Sackville; Betty Tanner, Enfield; sons,
Jimmy Jr., British Columbia; James, Mount Uniacke; sisters, Doris
Finnigan, Florida; Pearl West, Hammonds Plains; Lorraine Murray,
Lucasville; brothers, Gordon, Sackville; Richard, Lucasville; Edward,
Kennetcook; Gerald, Shubenacadie; 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased
by a daughter, Kathleen; sisters, Gladys, Maude, Lil; brothers, George,
Henry. Funeral 2 p.m. today in All Saints Anglican Church, Bedford,
Cannon Robert Power officiating. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens.

Saint John, N.B. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Carl James and
Shirley Marie (Webb) Tanner, Upper Sackville. She was employed with Day
and Ross for over 10 years. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Floyd;
daughters, Holly, Amanda, both at home; brothers, James, Mount Uniacke;
James (Jimmy), British Columbia; sisters, Debbie Denney, Jean Studdley,
Helen Ford, all of Lower Sackville; Betty Lovett, Enfield; paternal
grandmother, Charlotte Tanner, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews.
