MORRIS, Edith Marcola "Evelyn" - 99, of Springhill, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at her home. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alma (Fich) Rasmussen. Evelyn was an adherent to All Saints Anglican Church, Springhill. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and time with her family. She is survived by daughters, Isabel Cruickshank and Eleanor (Hedley) Sutherland, both of Springhill; Dolores (Ronald) MacKay of Fort McLeod, Alta.; sister, Mildred Berry, Mississauga, Ont.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her second husband, George Morris and her first husband, William McCormick; son, William; brothers, Ivan, Earl and Vernon. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, (902-597-2361). A Graveside Committal Service will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
