FITZGERALD, Georgina Mae - 86, of Springhill, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, in High Crest Nursing Home. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (Chapman) Carde. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Elmer C. Fitzgerald, Springhill; daughters, Paulette (William) Beaton, Springhill and Donna (Dennis) MacDonald, Elkford, B.C.; sons, Aubrey, Springhill; Carson, British Columbia; Terry, Coburg, Ont.; William, Sarnia, Ont., and Anthony (June), Salt Springs, Cumberland Co.; sisters, Jeannie Thomas, Toronto; Marjorie Grant, Springhill Jct., and Karen Stonehouse, Westchester; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Lyman, Earl, Frederick and James; sisters, Alice Sylvie, Doris Beaton, Agnes Gilroy, and Annie and Gladys in infancy. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, (902-597-2361). A public Graveside Committal Service will be announced at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
