This will go in my file. She must of divorced him since there was no
mention of him in her obituary. Could have been another wedding or
encounter by an Allen?

Obituary - WOOD, Blanche Evangeline - 102, Berwick. Our mother, Blanche
Evangeline Wood, died in Grandview Manor, Berwick, on November 2, 2006.
Born in North Grand Pre, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Jessie
(Taylor) Palmeter. Blanche attended Acadia Seminary, Wolfville and
attended nursing training at the Yarmouth Hospital. In later years she
lived in Canning and was one of the founders of the Seniors Horizon's
Club. Everyone who knew Mother remembers her sense of humour. She took
great pleasure in her gardening and quilting, and while at Grandview
Manor she made quilts and also cushions for the children's hospital,
patients and manor craft sales. Surviving are daughters, Auleen
(Richard) Harvie, Sheffield Mills; Betty MacKinlay, Bedford; son, James
(Marjorie) Allen, Stanhope, P.E.I.; daughter-in-law, Mabel Morine, Port
Coquitlam, B.C.; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four nieces
and two nephews. Blanche was predeceased by sons, Arthur Morine (British
Columbia), Malcolm Allen (Aylesford); grandson, Keith Morine (British
Columbia); brothers, Beverly Palmeter and Kenneth Palmeter, who were
victims of the First World War, Harold Palmeter, and sisters, Evelyn
(Kenneth) Ritchie and Edith (Frank) Woodworth. Cremation has taken place
and a service of remembrance will be held Monday, November 6, at 2 p.m.
in Grandview Manor, Berwick, Rev. Elizabeth Johnson officiating with
interment in Horton Cemetery, Grand Pre at a later date. Arrangements
