Obit: MacBAIN, Ross Alexander

MacBAIN, Ross Alexander - 56, Sunset Adult Residential Centre, Pugwash, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born January 19, 1953, in Hamilton, Ont., and later a resident of Scotsburn, he had resided at Sunset Adult Residential Centre for the past five and a half years. Ross faced his disability with fortitude and patience. Often interested in people, he was recognized as a true gentleman. Ross was an ardent reader and identified with the Scottish heritage and delighted in bagpipe music. Surviving are brother, Gerald, Grimsby, Ont.; uncle, Raymond Ross, Tatamagouche; nephews, Donald and Brian; niece, Cheryl; several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Lulu (Ross) MacBain; sister, Helen. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, in Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Interment will be in the spring time in Scotsburn Cemetery. Donations in Ross' memory can be made to Sunset Adult Residential Centre.
