OBITUARY: Trueman E. McCully
Ward's Brook, Cumberland County - Trueman E. McCully, 71, of Ward's Brook,
died Saturday at home. Born in Fox River, he was a son of the late Seymour
and Maude (Ells) McCully. He was a seaman and retired shipyard employee. He
is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ayer; a daughter, Shirley (Mrs.
Ronald Roesch), North Bay, Ont.; a son, Jackie, at home; six sisters, Winnie
(Mrs. Bert MacKay), Amherst; Gertie (Mrs. Alvin Newcombe) and Carrie (Mrs.
Onslow Legere), both of Parrsboro; Ruby (Mrs. Roland Allen), Fox River;
Gleta (Mrs. Bruno Loh), Dartmouth; and Maurita (Mrs. Fred Hehnan),
Springhill; five brothers, Emerson, Ward's Brook; Brenton, Fox River; Lorne,
Grand Manan Island; Wilfred, Saint John; and Murray, Dartmouth; and two
grandchildren. The body is at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral
service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. From Grace United Church, Port Greville,
Rev. Parker Matheson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a
later date.
