Re: John and Amelia Willigar of Parrsboro

Hi Dave,

Disregard my question about Ruff, I just found the marriage.

Anyone know who this John Willigar is?

Re; 1871 Census / John Willigar, age 83, dies Parrsboro on 23 Mar 1874 of
old age, s/o Nicholas and Margaret Willigar.; Informant, John Willigar.

On 13 Aug 1864 at Mill Village, John Willigar, Shipwright, age 46, s/o John
Willigar, m/1 Mary Ann Ruff, age 30. John and Jacob Willigar are witnesses.
1864 less age 46 = born 1818.

On the 1871 Census, are the ages of John and Mary Ann off by at least 10
years each? Is "Amelia A." a m/2 for John?

On the Willigar and Connected Families Website, is the John Willigar's son,
John Willigar Jr. really born about 1812 and not 1823?
