I never thought to re-look at her brother¹s earlier 1952 obit.

If she was Mrs. ³Alton² Johnston a year later when her father died and she
was the ³informant² on his 1953 death record, then there¹s a pretty good
chance it was Alton Robert Johnston, Tommy¹s son.

This obit also narrows the gap to between 31 Dec 1945 and 31 Oct 1952 when
Meaurita Mamie m/2 Fred Hahnen.

OBITUARY: Thornton H. McCulley
Port Greville, October 30 - The death of Thornton Hartford McCulley occurred
Friday morning, October 23, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Port
Greville 40 years ago, a son of Seymour and the late Maud (Ells) McCulley.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Patricia, of Saint John, N.B.;
also his father, Seymour McCulley, Fox River, N.S. Six sisters, Carrie (Mrs.
Onslow Legere) and Gertrude (Mrs. Alvin Newcombe), Parrsboro, N.S.; Winnie
(Mrs. Burton McKay), Amherst, N.S.; ***Mrs. Gleta Johnson, Grand Manan,
N.B.***; Ruby (Mrs. Roland Allen), Fox River, N.S.; Maurita (Mrs. Fred
Hahen), Springhill, N.S. Seven brothers, Emerson and Trueman, Ward's Brook,
N.S.; Harold, Parrsboro, N.S.; Lorne and Wlfred, Grand Manan, N.B.; Murray,
Saint John, N.B.; and Brenton, Fox River, N.S. A largely attended funeral
was held at Grace United Church Monday afternoon, with Rev. Mr. Armitage of
the United Church, Parrsboro officiating. Interment was made in the family
plot, United Church cemetery.
