Hello Geoff,
Thank you for the information on the descendants of Arthur ANGUS & Alice Mabel BAXTER.
Regarding Adolphus BAXTER:
I list him as the son of Augustus BAXTER Jr. (1777 - April 1856) & Augustus' second wife, Sarah WILSON. This is based on the marriage registration for Adolphus which says:
Adolphus Baxter, 42, bachelor, farmer, res of Amherst Head, born in Amherst Head, s/o Augustus & Sarah (farmers), was married on 15-Jan-1873 in Amherst to Caroline Chappell, 36, widow, res of Amherst Shore, born in ____, d/o Burton & Jane (farmers).

Regarding Augustus & Sarah:
(1) Marriage records of Rev Christopher Milner, Episcopal Minister in Sackville 1820 - 1836 extracted by Diane Alderson Shaw Feb 21, 2003 lists:
Augustus Baxter was married in 1826 to Sarah Wilson.
(2) The IGI says Augustus Baxter was married on 18-Jun-1826 to Sarah Wilson in Westmorland Co., NB
Going back one generation:
I have not been able to identify the parents of Augustus but currently list him as the son of either Frederick or Lockwood. Can any list members help with this?
My information prior to this is based primarily upon research done by others and I do not have documention to prove most of the information that follows below; however here's what I *think* may be the next generations:
Frederick & Lockwood are probably both sons of Augustine BAXTER (b ~1703 - died after 1759) & Sarah QUINBY.
Augustine may be the son of Thomas BAXTER (born 14-Aug-1675) & Abigail DRAKE.
Thomas may be the son of Thomas BAXTER (1653 - 1714) & Rebecca ADAMS (or SMITH).
Thomas may be the son of Thomas BAXTER (born ~1626) & Bridget CLARK.
Thomas may be the son of George BAXTER (born ~1600) & Alice _____.
