CROSS, Ronald Irvin - 74, Woodlawn and West New Annan. Died December 18, 2009, from complications of cancer in East Cumberland Lodge in Pugwash. Ron was an older brother to Walter David Cross (Joyce); younger brother to Shirley (Cross) (husband, Ted) Hodgson and younger brother of Carl Cross (Bertha), Dartmouth. Ronald I. Cross was a well-known land developer in Dartmouth. Prior to his building career, he worked the family dairy business, alongside his father and mother, Walter L. Cross and Gladys Catherine Cross (Graham). Surviving children are, Pauline Helen Cross, Stephen R. Cross and Catherine Gladys Cross II; grandchildren, Elliott and Emma Mombourquette, Caley and Owen Cross; stepgrandchildren, Meliss Donaldson and family. A service will be held in Woodlawn in May. Notice of time and place will be announced at that time. Ron is missed by all who knew him. Burial will be alongside mother and father at Woodlawn Cemetery in Dartmouth, at the site of the Old Brookhouse. Thanks to the staff of East Cumberland Lodge in Pugwash, Ron's "Woodlawn" for the last year of his life.
