William Bickford Henley was the Captain of the Brig Molly Moore which was built in Pugwash. He married Jane Moore, the daughter of John Moore and Mary Doudle. It appears she may have been known as Molly Moore. It is told she was the favourite daughter of John Moore. John Moore is buried in Kolbec Cemetery along with daughter Jane and son-in-law William Bickford "Bill" Henley.
I will be visiting relatives in Oxford this Spring and hope to bring more info to light about the Brig Molly Moore and this line of Moores. I need to sit down with family and hopefully come up with some clues that may have been put away somewhere in family archives.
If anyone knows of the Henley line tht immigrated to PEI around 1815 this would be greatly appreciated.
As of this date I have yet to know anything about Mary Doudle other than her name and that she had a sister Jennie Doudle who married Robert Dixon. If anyone has info on this couple it may help find out who the parents of Mary and Jennie Doudle are. Nobody seems to know.
