Ellen Rebecca (McGuire) Cutten of Parrsboro
I have her mother as nee Mary Rector. Her husband died 21 Dec 1920. Her son
as Douglas Dearborn Cutten, born 22 Jun 1902, died 1968.
Although buried from St. Brigid's Catholic Church, her headstone is in St.
Georges Anglican Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Ellen Rebecca Cutten
Ellen Rebecca Cutten, a life-long resident of Parrsboro, widow of the late
William B. Cutten and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McGuire,
pioneer settlers of this town, passed away to her rest on Wednesday, the
19th, at the age of 76 years. Although in ill-health for some time, the end
came suddenly. Surviving is one son, Douglas, one brother, Patrick McGuire,
and one sister, Annie, Mrs. John Duffy, all of Parrsboro. Her husband
predeceased her 13 years ago. Most of the deceased's married life has been
spent on their farm at that historic spot, Partridge Island, Parrsboro and
many prominent people have crossed her threshold. She was of a kind and
genial disposition and a good neighbor. The funeral was held from St.
Brigid's Church on Friday morning with Rev. Father MacDonald officiating.
The pallbearers were: James D. Gillespie, Percy MacNamara, Howard Morwick
and Joseph H. Cutten.
