Hi Don
Remember both these sites well, I pass the old "Ice Pond" everyday. I can barely remember any structures there, more like remnants so I assume the old buildings just fell in. The Embree family of East Amherst ran the business.. They fixed the old dam about 20 years ago and put in a cement spillway. It's still a popular fishing spot for local youth as they stock the ponds at the golf course and the fish make there way downstream.
The old quarry on Willow Street was used for stone in the construction when sandstone was popular for buildings way back when. About five or so years ago, they drained it to see what was there since there were always lots of rumors of what was on the bottom. They found a couple of old cars there and other useless debris but nothing of any value or any thing news worthy. Hope this helps
Steve
