In a petition dated 10 May 1933, Percy Chandler seeks a divorce from Jennie Smith on the grounds she committed adultery with Morton Dowe, then of Mann's Siding and Dalhousie Junction, N.B. during the years 1928 to 1931.
Percy and Jennie were married 10 Jun 1910 at St. George's Anglican Church, Parrsboro by Rev. George Backhurst. They lived together at Fox River and Londonderry from 1910 to 1928.
Percy and Jennie have issue of 7 children; Mrs. Flora Morris 22, Mrs. Viola Dowe 20, Mrs. Rena Lake 18, Lavida Chandler 16, Iva Chandler 14, Bonah Chandler 12 and Mancil Chandler 7.
Percy claims Jennie deserted him and the children and went to Dalhousie, keeping house for Morton Dowe.
Marriage is dissolved by reason of adultery on 13 Nov 1933.

This might plunk Tom Dow's birthdate somewhere between 1928 and 1931 but still give no clue to why he is called "son" of Enid Smith & Michael Morrissey in James' obit. However, he may have come to live with Mike and Enid if Jennie and Morton split.
