LEWIS, Karl K. - 81, Lower Five Islands, Cumberland Co., passed away Monday, January 3, 2005, in South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Lynn Mountain, he was a son of the late Heman and Winifred (Chandler) Lewis. He was retired from the lumbering and trucking industries. He is survived by his companion, Lena Marsh, Five Islands; daughters, Helen Lewis, St. George, N.B.; Dianna Dowe (Elroy), Lower Five Islands; extended family, Susan Marsh, Halifax; Darlene Taggart (Mike), Bass River, and Wayne Dunphy (Helen), Edmonton, Alta.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Pauline Harrington; son, Richard; brother, Herbert. Visitation 1-2 p.m. today in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Rev. Robert Mack officiating. Burial in Peniel Cemetery, Five Islands. Born in Springhill, he was the son of Karl Lewis of Five Islands, and the late Pauline (Harrington) Lewis. He was a lumberman, lobster and scallop fisherman. He is survived by his wife, the former Gloria MacGillivary; daughter, Kimberly (Trevor); Truro; son, David (LeeAnne), Five Islands; two grandchildren; sisters, Dianna Dowe (Elroy), Lower Five Islands; and Helen Lewis, St. George, N.B. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday in Peniel United Church, Five Islands, Rev. Robert Mack officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro.
