MORRIS (Ogilvie), Doreen - Hantsport/Stephenville, N.L., 82, passed away December 19, 2008, in Newfoundland. Affectionately known as "Chic", born January 10, 1926 in Parrsborro, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (George) Ogilvie. Surviving are daughter, Karen (David) Fillatre; sons, David (Diane), Charles (Rebecca), William (Patsy), all of Newfoundland; sister, Bernadette Gingras; foster sister, Joan Norris; sisters-in-law, Verna and Pauline Ogilvie; brother-in-law, George Morris; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Charles; brothers, Aubrey and Douglas; foster brother, Francis Lawlor; granddaughter, Heidi. Funeral services were held December 23, 2008 in N.L. www.fillatre.ca

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Doreen Cecelia Morris announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the age of 82 years. She will always be loved and remembered by her children: Karen (David) Fillatre, St. George's, David (Diane), Stephenville, Charles (Rebecca), Portugal Cove, William (Patsy), Kelligrews; grandchildren: Lori, Ingrid, David, Erin, Raye, Thomas, David, Brittany, Amanda, Corey, Tim, Sophie, Heidi, Denise, Kyla, Shantal,; great-grandchildren: Emma, Connor, Aiden, Callie Rose, and Jena; sister Bernadette as well as other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Morris; parents Joseph and Mary Ogilvie; brothers Aubrey and Doug; granddaughter Heidi Nicole. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 10-12 a.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 23rd from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in St. George's, Rev. Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery in St. George's. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
