Re: Vera Terris and Ervin Fraser - Divorce

Ellen

I hope someone will write in with answers to the questions you pose about the divorce of Vera Maude Terris and Ervin Simon Fraser. I have been searching for this information for some time myself.

According to NSHVS, Registration Year: 1957 - Book: 1957 - Page: 3935 - Number: Ervin Simon Fraser died in Fenwick on 21 June 1957 from what looks like coronary artery thrombosis with contributory factors "fatty heart" and that he was "very fat and obese". He was 59 years, 5 months and 20 days of age and was born in NS on 1 January 1898. He had been living in Fenwick for ten years, and in the province of NS all his life. The Informant was Mrs. W. Mont, which I believe was Elaine Mont.

It is recorded here that Ervin was buried in Rodney (Brown's Funeral Home) on 24 June 1967. That is a full 10 years and 3 days after death! Possibly a typographical error?

The marriage documents for Vera and Ervin can be found at NSHVS Registration Year: 1922 - Book: 40 - Page: 50 - Number: At the time of thier marriage they were both living in Springhill and the ceremony took place in Oxford at the Methodist parsonage. I have no record of what happened to the marriage or to Vera following 9 August 1922 but would dearly love to know. Anyone else with info. on these people???
Ruth
