OBITUARY: Henry Ward
Parrsboro was saddened on the 20th of August when it learned of the sudden
demise of Henry Ward, Riverside, a well-known and respected citizen of this
town. Mr. Ward had not been in robust health for a long time, but his sudden
death came as a shock to all his friends, and he had a good many in this
community. Of a quiet, unassuming disposition, Mr. Ward spoke ill of no man,
and his passing will be regretted by all with whom he came in contact. He
was interned in the M.N. Cemetery on the 23rd, and a large funeral attested
to the esteem in which he was held. The deep sympathy of the whole community
goes out to his widow and daughter, Marjorie, who are left to mourn the
departure of a kind and loving husband and father. The pallbearers were
Messrs J. Parsons, W. Parker, H. Manning and Rex McLaughlin.
