Obit: SOUDER, Marvin Kenneth

SOUDER, Marvin Kenneth "Marv" - 69, Wallace, Cumberland Co., passed away on December 17, 2008, in the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Fort Erie, Ont., he was a son of the late Charles "Ken" and Mary (Miller) Souder. Marv spent his childhood in the Niagra region. After attending the Hamilton Institute of Technology he started his career in St. John's, NL. His career took him across the country where he eventually settled in the suburbs of Vancouver, B.C. While in Vancouver, Marv earned his qualification as an electrical engineer. Following his career he and his wife Nina retired to Wallace. Marv was well-known for his sense of humor and love of time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nina (Elliott), Wallace; sons, John (Tess), Surrey, B.C.; David (Shelley), Langley, B.C.; grandchildren, Corinna, Kenneth, Nicole, Phillip, and Bryan; brother, Allan (Gayle), Toronto, Ont.; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506).
