Howard Brenton Rector 84 Gables Lodge, Amherst, formerly of River Hebert, died Wednesday in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.
Born in River Hebert, he was a son of the late Samuel & Annie Rector. He was a coal miner in River Hebert for many years. He was a farmer and Carpenter. He was a member of Gospel Hall, Strathcona. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by five daughters: Annie, Mrs. James Tabor, Halifax, Isabelle, Mrs. George Lamb of New Glasgow, Betty, Mrs. Victor Proctor of River Hebert,
Joyce, Mrs. John Speight, Amherst, Dorothy, Mrs. Douglas MacLeod, Belleisle, N.B., a son: Brenton, Oshawa, Ontario, 23 grand, 34 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith, two brothers: Elroy and Richard, five sisters: Queenie, Mabel, Roxie, Rhoda and Ella.
