Died peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2008, in her 81st year. Raised in her beloved village of Pugwash, Nova Scotia, she is predeceased by her husband Bill (2004). Loving mother of Bill Jr. and his wife Julie of Calgary, Alberta, Bob and his wife Louise of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Lenore Cameron of St. Catharines, Ontario and Grant and his wife Marcella of Calgary, Alberta. Grandma will be sadly missed by her thirteen grandchildren, Laura, Kim, Mary and Jenny of Calgary, Brett, Shane, twins Ainsley and Avery of Winnipeg, Taylor, Leah and Lucas of Calgary, Wm. Andrew and Eric of St. Catharines. Sylvia loved to paint and write stories and poems, which she often sent to her grandchildren. Sylvia is survived by her brothers Doug (Helen) McKeil and Malcolm McKeil. The family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH and BROWN Funeral Home, ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson Street East on Friday, December 12, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel, Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 10 a.m., with Interment in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make a donation to a charity of their choice. The family invites friends and relatives to sign the Book of Visitation at www.db-ancaster.ca
