OBITUARY:
Paul, Kenneth Clarence - 57, of Calgary, died July 23 at home. Born in Moose
Jaw, Sask., he was a son of the latePaul and Zena Sunachevski. He was
employed by the city of Calgary for 30 years as an electrical surveyor until
his retirement in 1987. He is survived by his wife, the former Leora
McBurnie, Five Islands, Colchester County; two sons, Kenneth, Calgary;
Scott, Ponoka, Alta.; a daughter, Janelle Teeuveen, Calgary; three brothers,
Samuel and William, both of Moose Jaw; Cecil, Canso; six grandchildren. The
body has been cremated. A memorial service was held in Chapel on the Hill
Funeral Home, Calgary on July 26.

OBITUARY: Mrs. M.B. MacBurnie
Five Islands - Mrs. Myrtle B. MacBurnie, 66, of Five Islands, died Friday in
Parrsboro Hospital. Born in Newville, she was the daughter of the late
Frederick and Ella (Lewis) Lockart. She is survived by three daughters,
Joyce (Mrs. Walter Brew, Halifax; Frances (Mrs. Harold Eagles), Five
Islands; Leora (Mrs. Kenneth Paul), Calgary; two sons, Glenford, Quesnel,
B.C.; Ronald, Five Islands; three brothers, Edgar, Five Islands; Parry,
Parrsboro; Bertin, Springhill; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The body is at Smith Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral service will be held
Monday at 2 p.m. In Peniel United Church, Five Islands, with Rev. Victor
MacLeod officiating. Burial in West Brook Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary MacBurnie, 87, of Five Islands, widow of Cyrus A. MacBurnie, died
Saturday in Colchester Hospital. She was the former Mary Patterson. She is
survived by two sons, Alfred, Five Islands; and Horace, Worcester, Mass.;
four daughters, Leona (Mrs. Norman Brown), Worcester; Alice (Mrs. Bert
Aylward), Five Islands; Josephine (Mrs. Earl Weir), River Hebert; Ethel
(Mrs. Ronald Roberts), Moose River; one brother, George Patterson, Maitland;
two sisters, Mrs. Alice Lewis and Mrs. Myrtle Davis of Five Islands; 19
grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held
Tuesday at 3 p.m. At Five Islands Baptist Church. Interment will be in Five
Islands Cemetery.
