Bernard Hall of Springhill ? & Cape Breton
Although retired, I was asked if I could come into work for today and
tomorrow to cover for the receiver who cut his index finger quite badly
yesterday so beat it over to the Archives while on lunch break.
The Bernard Hall below is possibly the same Bernard who married Flora
Saunders (Phinney) McCormick on 18 Feb 1927 in Amherst. Also, possibility he
left his m/1 to m/2 Flora, then later got back with m/1.

OBITUARY: Bernard Hall
Sydney Mines - A well known and esteemed local resident, Bernard Hall, 64,
passed away in Harbour View Hospital early Friday evening and news of his
death will be learned with deep regret by many friends. A long time resident
of the town and a son of the late John Hall and Sarah (Tobin) Hall, he had
been sick for some time. For many years he had been employed at Princess
Collery, retiring four years ago. A devout member of Immaculate Conception
Church, he is survived by his wife, the former Mary MacIntosh. Also,
surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Frances MacNeil, here; Mrs. Ellen Petrie
and Mrs. Josephine Donovan, both of New Aberdeen; and Mrs. Elizabeth
MacDonald of Sydney. Three brothers, and two sisters predeceased him. The
remains are now resting at Francis Funeral Service, from where the funeral
will be held on Monday morning, October 29, leaving there at 8:45 a.m. For
Immaculate Conception Church where Mass will be offered at 9:00 o'clock.
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Many friends will join in
offering sympathy to Mrs. Hall and also other relatives in their
bereavement.
