OBITUARY: Mrs. Herbert Boss
The death of Mrs. Herbert Boss, 54, occurred at her home at 5 a.m. Tuesday,
August 29, after an illness lasting some two years. Left to mourn are her
husband and two children, Marion and Gerald, besides an aged mother, Mrs.
David Dowe of Parrsboro, N.S.; two sisters, Mrs. Leland Gallagher,
Springhill and Mrs. Harvey Smith of South Brook. Four brothers also survive,
Roy of Truro; Huntley of Parrsboro; Headly of Quebec City; and Hilton of
Parrsboro. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment
will be in the Rodney Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Herbert W. Boss
Greenwood - Herbert William Boss, 76, of Greenwood, formerly of Springhill,
died Tuesday in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Rodney, he
was a son of the late David and Louise (Hudson) Boss. He operated a trucking
business in Springhill for many years. Surviving are his wife, the former
Marjorie MacLeod; a daughter, Marion (Mrs. Ronald DeWolfe), Armdale; a
step-daughter, Lorraine (Mrs. Donald Terris), Camp Borden, Ont.; a son,
Gerald, Springhill; two brothers, Norman, Maccan; Earl, Amherst; nine
grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ella Dowe [sic Alta];
and two sisters, Hattie and Faye. The body is at A.H. Brown Funeral Home,
Springhill, where funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. James Martell
officiating. Burial will be in Rodney Cemetery.

BOSS, Marjory Ella - 94, 7 Sproul St., Springhill, formerly of Greenwood
Village, died February 20, 1996, in High-Crest Nursing Home, Springhill.
Born at Apple River, Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Malcolm
and M Mary (Wood) McLeod. She was a member of St. Andrew's-Wesley United
Church, Springhill, and her hobbies included sewing, knitting and other
types of needlework. Surviving are daughter, Lorraine (Mrs. Donald Edward
Terris), East Mapleton, Cumberland Co.; stepson, Gerald Boss, Springhill;
stepdaughter, Marion (Mrs. Ronald DeWolfe), Halifax; grandsons, Wayne Donald
and wife Susan, Cochrane, Alta.; Bruce Robinson and wife Lyn, Gander, Nfld.;
five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert
William Boss; first husband, Rolland Maxwell Robinson; sisters, Sarah, Jane;
brother, George. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Thursday,
both in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, Rev. Ewen Moase officiating.
Spring burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
