Thanks for the Desmond tidbits. I agree the McGuire’s trace back to
Parrsboro. Actually I have Mary McGuire b. abt 1811 in Ireland as the wife
of John George born about 1907 in Milford, Haven, Wales as the earliest
McGuire on my tree. I also have a James McGuire who married Mary Anne
Rector but I don’t know if Mary and James were siblings.
While doing research in County Donegal, Ireland I found a few McGuire’s but
not anything to tie in with the McGuire’s in Nova Scotia.
