OBITUARY: Huntley H. Dowe
Parrsboro - Huntley H. Dowe, 84, of Parrsboro, died Saturday at home. Born
in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late David and Phoebe (Bowden) Dowe. He
worked on the railroad as a section foreman for 42 years. He is survived by
his wife, the former Ethel Allen; two sons, Hughie, Parrsboro; and Kenneth,
Greenwood; a brother, Hedley, Cardiff, Ont.; a grandson; several nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Helen, Alice, Sadie and Alta;
and two brothers, Hilton and Roy. The body is at Smith's Funeral Home,
Parrsboro, where funeral will be held 2 p.m. today, Rev. Eric Miner
officiating, with burial in the Baptist Cemetery, Parrsboro.

OBITUARY:
Dowe, Ethel M. - 78, Parrsboro, died Thursday in South Cumberland Memorial
Hospital, Parrsboro. Born in Ramsie River, Cumberland County, she was a
daughter of the late Clarence and Jessie (Reid) Allen. She is survived by
two sons, Hughie, Parrsboro; and Kennie, Greenwood; a brother, Herbert,
Pugwash; a grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Huntley. The body
is at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral will be 4 p.m. today,
Rev. Eric Miner officiating. Burial will be in the Baptist Cemetery,
Parrsboro at a later date.
