Annie Blanche (Copp) Strong of Spencer's Island

Annie's mother was a BROWN. I posted some data on Annie's brother, Harris
Henry Copp late last year as he m/1 Elsie Lena Reid from Lakelands, who's
mother was also a BROWN.

Annie's other brother, William Boardman Copp and other sister, Eva Maria
Copp both married into my WINTER/S Line.

Sricer C. Hazel's obit. below doesn't mention a wife; separation /
divorce?????

OBITUARY: Mrs. Oscar Strong
Spencer's Island, July 15 - Spencer's Island and surrounding community were
saddened when Annie Blanche Copp, beloved wife of Oscar Strong, passed
peacefully away at her home early Sunday morning, July 1. She was 73 years
of age and had lived here most of her life. She was the daughter of the late
Henry and Elizabeth Copp of this place. She was a life member of the Baptist
Missionary Society and in faith a Baptist. She had a kind and cheerful
disposition and was beloved by all who knew her. In sickness she was always
ready to help others. She is survived by her husband; one daughter (Ella)
Mrs. Morton Fletcher of New Salem; four sons, Earl and Percy of this place
and Cecil and Garfield of East Advocate. A foster daughter (Mae) Mrs. Hazel
Spicer and a grandchild, Rupert, she cared for from infancy. 33
grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive as well as one
brother, Harris in Halifax, and a nephew, Herman Grey of Advocate. The
funeral was from the Spencer's Island United Church, Rev. Eric Miner
(Baptist of Advocate conducted the service. Hymns sung were: "Nearer Thy God
To Thee" and "Unto The Hills" and "God Will Take Care Of You" when leaving
the church. The funeral was in charge of S.W. Smith and Son of Parrsboro.

The pallbearers were: Clifford Dunbar, Lawson Dunbar, Sandy Dunbar, all
nephews and Steve McLellan. Interment was in the Advocate Cemetery.

HAZEL, Spicer C. - 74, Parrsboro, Cumberland Co., died December 12, 1996, in
South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born at Baxters Harbour,
Hants Co., he was a son of the late Joshua and Ethel (Rand) Hazel. Surviving
are daughters, Eugena, Cheryl (Mrs. Angus Stewart), Parrsboro; Mrs. Dianne
Higgins, Amherst; Mrs. Joyce Snow, Saint John, N.B.; Mrs. Lois Allen,
Advocate; sons, Clifford, Yarmouth; Robert, Aulac, N.B.; ***stepson, Rupert
Strong, Joggins***; sisters, Mrs. Marie Morris, Advocate; Eileen (Mrs.
Ronald Ellis), Canning; brothers, Peter, Lewis, Canning; Joseph, Rodney,
Montreal; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased
by son, Glen; brothers, David, John. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral
2 p.m. Saturday, both in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Jeffrey White
officiating. Burial in Parrsboro United Cemetery. Donations to any charity.
