Edith Hatfield (Hughes) McKay

I came across this obit. in the Amherst Daily News while attempting to fill
in the time slot for many of the missing Parrsboro Record's at NSARM during
the 1950's. I have a few others that will follow as time permits for
transcription.

I show her husband as James Alexander McKay (2 Dec 1876, Parrsboro - 8 Sep
1957); Reference: per Trinity United Cemetery Photo #3149 by the late Jack
Wagstaff

This is "new" HATFIELD data not listed in the recently released "Hatfield"
book by George Hayward. In the book, her husband is listed as Alen McKay but
could possibly be a simple typo for Alex McKay.

Alex and Edith had one daughter, Effie Alexandra McKay, born 14 May 1909,
Parrsboro - Married Herbert Gordon Hummer from Medford, Mass. on 22 Feb 1930
in East Walpole, Mass.; issue of 2 children.
