PERRIN, Cecil F - 91, Economy, Colchester Co., passed away Saturday, February 2, 2002, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Fred and Emma (Halliday) Perrin. A graveside service and interment will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, in Economy Cemetery, Economy, Rev. Bob Hussey officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Economy United Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro.

Mrs. Abram PERRIN, a life long resident of Wyvern died recently at the home of her son, Mr. Fred PERRIN, Central Economy, with whom she has resided for a few years. She was over 90 years of age and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alice McELMON and two sons, Fred and Fletcher.

Springhill - George Douglas Perrin, 70, 20 Hall Street, Springhill, died Friday, April 20, 1990 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of Mrs. Mary (Canning) Perrin and the late William Eben Perrin. He was an adherent to the St. Andrew's Wesley United Church in Springhill. He served overseas during World War II. Most of his working years were spent in coal mining and battery manufacturing. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth M. Clark; two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Kenneth Lowther), Oromocto, N.B.; Carolyn (Mrs. Jeremy Demings), Fall River, Halifax Co.; two sons, Douglas, MacPherson Mills, Pictou Co.; David, at home; three sisters, Ida (Mrs. Charles Clark); Mrs Rachael Rolfe and Marjorie (Mrs. Hibbert Rolfe), all of Springhill; two brothers, William, Dartmouth; Charles; Oxford Junction; seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert, and three half brothers, Wilbert, Elmer and J. Alexander. His remains have been cremated. A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Monday at the A.H. Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Storey) Clark. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and especially being home where she helped raise her grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by sons, Douglas (Patricia Taylor) Perrin, New Glasgow; David (Margaret Moreau) Perrin, Springhill; daughters, Margaret (Kenneth) Lowther, Amherst; Carolyn (Jeremy) Demings, Springhill; brothers, Garnet (Bonheur "Polly") Clarke and Charles Clarke, both of Springhill; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George D. Perrin; brothers, George, Harold, and infant brother, Robert. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill.
