WILSON, Gerald Vaughn Jr. "Jerry" - 65, Amherst, died December 8, 2007. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Gerald and Alberta Wilson. Surviving are wife, Joyce (Ogden); sons, Frank (Nicolle), Gary; stepson, Sean (Sarah); brothers, Orey, Jim (Lynn); sisters, Barb (Russell), Susan (Allison), Debbie; stepgrandchildren, Tyler and Michael Fury, Dana and Grace Harrison; nieces, nephews, cousins. He was predeceased by sister-in-law, Cathy Jolly. WILSON, Alberta D. "Girlie" - 85, Clifford Street, Amherst, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2005, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Fox River, she was a daughter of the late Orey and Sarah (Gough) Dowe. Girlie had worked for the School for the Deaf. She was a member of Christ Church. Girlie is survived by her daughters, Barbara Mathews (Russell), Susan Kenney (Allison) and Debbie Maxwell, all of Amherst; sons, Orey (Cathy Jolly) and Jerry (Joyce), both of Amherst; Jim (Lynn), Burlington, Ont.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her constant companion, Tiny. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Jean Dowe, Florence Dowe, Enid Johnson, Matilda "Tillie" Johnson, and Phebe Sears; brothers, Judson, Albert, Emmerson, Lester, Horace, and Vaughan. Girlie's remains are resting in Furlong's Funeral Home with visitation today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in Cumberland Memorial Chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev. Glenn Eason officiating. Spring burial will take place in Amherst Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
