OBIT: Mrs. Edmund HOEG (nee Miss Lillian FREEMAN), 1922
On Sunday evening about five o'clock there passed away at Maccan, Lillian, beloved wife of Edmund HOEG after an illness of
some months and although it was expected, it came as a great shock to the family. Mrs. HOEG was formerly Miss Lillian
FREEMAN, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William FREEMAN of Amherst, and her girlhood days were spent in this town. After
her marriage she moved to Maccan, where she resided up to the time of her death, at the age of 63 years. She leaves to mourn
besides a sorrowing husband, two sons, Earl and Vaughn, both at home, and one brother, Arthur in California. The late Mrs.
HOEG was a great asset to the community in which she lived, and although during the latter part of her life, she was confined
to her home considerably, she was always a friend to anyone sick or needy, and was one of the first church workers in the
village. The funeral is being held at 3 o'clock this afternoon, interment being in the Baptist Church at Maccan." Scrapbook 3 #53
