LOCKHART, Joyce Ruth
LOCKHART, Joyce Ruth - 53, Truro, passed away peacefully November 14, 2007,
at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was the wife of Winston
"Jake" Lockhart of Truro. Joyce loved the Lord. She was very involved in
music, prison ministry and family. She loved to cross-stitch, travel,
cruise, skydive and bungee jump. She also loved her work at the Colchester
Community Funeral Home. Joyce lived all of her days to the fullest and she
leaves a real legacy of strength for her family and friends. Joyce is
survived by her husband, "Jake"; father, Bert Black, Oxford; in-laws, Earl
and Ella Lockhart, Westchester; daughters, Allison Lewis (Jason MacDougall),
Westchester; Jennifer (Nathan) Adams, Moncton, N.B.; sisters, Judy (twin
sister) Forrest, Truro; Marilyn Black, Amherst; Elaine (Robert) Simpson,
Mount Pleasant; Lorraine (Michael) Keating, Oxford; grandchildren, Joshua,
Jessica Ruth, Sophia, Olivia, and Emma. She was predeceased by her mother,
Lola (Cloney) Black; granddaughter, Emily Joyce Adams; brothers-in-law,
Brian (Judy) Forrest, Perry Lockhart. Visitation will be held on Sunday,
November 18, from 6-9 p.m. with a memorial service on Monday, November 19,
at 1 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., with
Rev. Phyllis Nesbitt officiating. Interment in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Truro Nazarene Church
