John Freeman McLeod Obit.

The death of John McLeod occurred at his home, Diligent River, Sunday
afternoon, October 18th. The late Mr. McLeod was a well-known and highly
respected resident of the community. He was a ship builder and also for many
years served as a pilot when sailing ships were carrying lumber in quantity
from the port of Diligent River. Mr. McLeod's wife predeceased him a number
of years ago. The surviving members of the family are: Freeman, who resides
at Diligent River, but is at present employed at Shelburne; Helen (Mrs.
McNeil) and Susie, residing in Edmonton, Alb.; Beryl, teaching school at
Vigerville, Alb.
