OBITUARY: James Brown
The death of James Brown occurred on Friday morning at the home of his
nephew, Frank Tyrrell, Upper Main Street, where he has been a resident for
the past few years. Although in failing health for some time, his death was
unexpected. Eighty-three years of age, the late MR. Brown was a son of the
late Bridgetta Lambert and Edward Brown, early settlers at Lakelands. A life
long resident of Parrsboro district, Mr. Brown was for many years a carrier
of His Majesty's Mail for Rural Route No. 1 and was well known and highly
respected in the vicinity. He retired from this position some five years
ago. He is survived by two brothers and a sister; G. Herbert Brown of
Parrsboro and Henry Brown of Great Village; and Mrs. John Moore of Halifax.
The funeral service was held at the home of his nephew yesterday afternoon,
with interment in the Anglican Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Henry Brown
The death of Henry Brown occurred at Great Village on Tuesday, June 6, at
the age of 79 years. The youngest son of the family of Bridgetta Lambert and
Edward Brown, early settlers at Lakelands, Mr. Brown resided in Advocate for
many years until he moved to Great Village a few years ago. He is survived
by his widow, formerly Miss Nina Berry of Advocate and by sons and
daughters. Also surviving are a brother, G. Hebbert Brown of Parrsboro and a
sister, Mrs. John Moore of Halifax. A brother, James Brown died in
Parrsboro two months ago. The funeral service was held at Great Village on
Thursday.
