Ralph Aylward

I had a query posted about 2 weeks ago as to who the parents of Lilliam M.
Aylward (Mrs. Donald Ross Roberts) were. I think I solved it with this obit.

SERVICES HELD FOR DISASTER VICTIM
Ralph Aylward
The death of Ralph Aylward, 40, occurred in No. 2 mine on October 23rd. He
was born in Springhill, July 16, 1918, the son of Mrs. Charles Ernest and
the late Stanley Aylward. While his main interest was centered in his home,
he also enjoyed such sports as fishing and baseball. Left to mourn besides
his wife, the former Eva Desmond, are four children, Desmond, Marilyn,
Brenda, at home; and Betty, attending vocational school at Halifax; also his
mother, Mrs. Charles Ernest, Martin's River; four sisters, Lillian (Mrs.
Donald Roberts), Oshawa, Ont.; Hazel (Mrs. Stephen Willigar), Parrsboro
Roads; Mrs. Grace McCormick, Moose River; and Mildred (Mrs. Dennison
Snowden), Springhill.

Funeral services were held from his late home on North Street at 11 o'clock.
Service was conducted by REv. W.M. Knickle. Pallbrearers were Messrs Ernest
Hamel, Garfield Godfrey, Peter Hibberts, John Greenhow, Douglas Legere,
Craig Mills. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery.
