BABINEAU, Glendon "Glen"
BABINEAU, Glendon "Glen" - It is with great sadness to inform of the sudden death of Glendon "Glen" Babineau, on Sunday, September 30, 2007, at his home. Born on February 18, 1947 in Halifax, he was a son of the late Albert and Frances (York) Babineau. Glendon was employed by Farmers Dairy for many years and as an independent Driver for 22 years. He was a wonderful family man, always had a quick reply and was loved by all who knew him. His favorite pastime was restoring and driving around in his old cars, and listening to rock and roll and country music. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynda (Clark); sons, Trevor (Candace); Bradley (Sandra); grandchildren, Samantha, Rachel, Kaytie and Tyler; brothers, Conrad, Portapique; Allan (Mary), Bartley (Linda), both of Parrsboro; sister, Bernadette (Jim) Hoeg, Athol; mother-in-law, Joan Clark, Truro; brothers-in-law, Barrie (Marianne), Paul; sisters-in-law, Diane (Brent) Henderson, Pam (Lee) Fisher, all of Coldbrook; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. this evening in Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, in Immaculate Conception Church, Prince Street, Truro, Rev. Ronald Cairns officiating, with a reception to follow in Campbell Hall. Interment will then be held in Watson Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or to a charity of your choice. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Father Gaetan Banyog-enne officiating.
