Yes David, they were cousins. I have no connection to these Lunn's but have
considerable data on them. About 5 years ago an 81 year old friend of mine,
wished to know of her Lunn / McLellan roots. I did a lot of research for her
and presented her with a Lunn/McLellan book I prepared, for Christmas.
Unfortunately this lady passed away at age 85, but now the family has a copy
of their roots.
The Lunn's came from England to Halifax, and many settled in Hants Co &
Cumberland. A great number of them are buried in Maplewood Cemetery Windsor,
Hants Co. The Cumberland Co. Lunn's were mostly I believe in the New Salem
area.
The earliest Lunn I have is John born 1747, London, England died 1831 in
Halifax. He was twice married first to a Catherine Shier who died in 1814.
Then to an unknown Sarah in 1823, who died two months after he married her.
( they were married in St Pauls Anglican Church, Halifax).
John & first wife, had 7 children that I found. 3 daughters and 4 sons. His
son James Mann Lunn is the father of James Albert Sr & John Archie Lunn.

James Mann Lunn(b. Halifax 1790) & Kathleen Peters(b.1802), had two
sons John Archie Lunn & James Albert Lunn Sr.
Joseph Henry Lunn married to Adelaide Thompson was the son of John
Archie Lunn.
James Albert Lunn married to Adelaide Allen, was the son of James
Albert Lunn Sr. So there is a family connection between these two
fellows.(Joseph Henry & James Albert).
James Albert Lunn Sr ( 1827-1916) was married to Sarah Jane McCulloch
(1823-1924).
John Archie Lunn(1817-1901) was married to Mary Ann Vaughan( 1824-1902).
