MacPherson-Morrissey & Lowler-Morrissey Wedding
I didn't have a Margaret Teresa Morrissey in my file and their mother only
refers to a Marrian Parlee in her obit.; see below.
Are Margaret and Marian the same person?
"Lowler" may possibly also be LOWTHER which is a more popular Springhill
surname.

WEDDINGS: MacPherson - Morrissey & Lowler - Morrissey
An event of unusual interest took place at St. Brigid's Church at 8:00
o'clock Monday evening when Margaret Teresa Morrissey was united in marriage
to Cornelius Joseph MacPherson of St. Andrews, Antigonish County, and Rose
Mary Morrissey was united in marriage to Pte. Monson Lowler oooooof
Springhill. The brides are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. John Morrissey of
this town. The double marriage ceremony was performed by the pastor, Rev.
Thomas MacDonald, and was followed by nuptial Mass.

OBITUARY: Mrs. John F. Morrissey
Parrsboro - Mrs. John F. Morrissey, 81, of Parrsboro, died Wednesday in
MacAloney's Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Antigonish, she was the former
Ann Welles, daughter of the late George and Catherine (McLaine) Welles. She
is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rose Lawther, Amherst; and Mrs. Marrian
Parlee, Parrsboro; three sons, Glen and Mike, Parrsboro; and Ted of Wallace;
and 24 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and a son, Arthur.
The body is in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral service will be 11
a.m. Friday in St. Brigid's Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Robert Hallett
officiating, with burial in the Church Cemetery.
