BONANG (Lorimer), Helen May "Honey"
BONANG (Lorimer), Helen May "Honey" - 92, Halifax, passed away peacefully on
September 6, 2007, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Springhill on September 24,
1914, she was a daughter of the late James "Papa" and Alice (Oakley) Lorimer
and granddaughter of Alexander and Mary "Granny" (Brown) Lorimer. Her sweet
and gentle nature was a gift to all, as sweet as her nickname, "Honey". She
lived a huge life and will be missed and loved forever. Surviving are her
beloved grandson, Brad Houghton and spouse Melissa Elwood, and her cousin,
Anita Cormier. She was predeceased by her daughter, Beverley (Bonang)
Aucoin; husband, Cyril Bonang; sisters, Agnes (Lorimer) Levesque and Evelyn
Lorimer. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral
Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where a memorial service will be held Monday,
September 10 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial in
Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in the funeral home
reception centre. Donations in memory of Honey can be made to The Children's
