TRURO - Cyril Clayton Hatfield, 64, of Dominion Street, Truro, died Friday in Camp Hill Hospital. Born in Brookville, Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Edgar and Vedora (Canning) Hatfield. He was a retired employee of the postal service. He served with the Infantry in the Second World War, and was a member of Colchester Branch, Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Louzina Babineau; one daughter Susan (Mrs. Mitchell Yorke), North River; four sons, Fred, Harlan, Carmen and Kenneth, all of Truro; two sisters, Camilla (Mrs. Eric MacMillan), Onslow; Althea (Mrs. Carl Ritcey), Halifax; four brothers, Larry and Allison, Truro; Horace, Randolph, Mass.; Hilton, Halifax; 11 grandchildren. The body is at the Kennedy Memorial Residence, Truro, where funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. spring burial will be in Watson cemetery. Members of Colchester branch, Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a tribute service at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today.
