BOSS, Elsie Winona
BOSS, Elsie Winona - 88, East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, passed away on
Wednesday, August 22, 2007, in the lodge. Born in River Hebert, Cumberland
Co., she was a daughter of the late Elsworth and Annabell Quinn. Elsie
worked as a home health care worker in Nova Scotia before moving to
Massachusetts. She then worked in the jewelry industry for many years before
retiring in 1981 and moving back to Nova Scotia. She enjoyed going dancing
and to bingo with family and wintering in Massachusetts with the Terris's.
She is survived by her son, Gary Boss, Massachusetts; grandsons, Gary
Terris, Matt Boss, Mark Boss, all of Massachusetts; Lenny Boss, Michigan;
five great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Quinn; sisters, Elenor O'Brien,
Philis Betts, Beulla Lewis, Doreen Lewis; sons-in-law, John Terris and Ross
Lewis. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Boss; daughter, Joanne
Terris; grandson, Mike Boss; brother, Donald Quinn; sister, Gertrude Lewis.
Visitation will be held 5-6 p.m. Friday, August 31, followed immediately at
6 p.m. by the funeral service with Rev. Perry Hanley officiating, both in
A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Burial in Hillside Cemetery,
Springhill. Donations to East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, would be
appreciated.
