I'm looking for the parents of William and Robert Fahey [see obit
below].
Boy Drowned in Bass River
A sad drowning accident occurred at Bass River on Sunday, July 2nd, when
Irving Roy MARSHMAN, formerly of Dorchester, NB was drowned there.
The little fellow, who was sent to bring the cows from a pasture not far
away, fell in with another boy companion and they both went in to the
water to bathe. The little fellow wading out too far suddenly dropped
into a deep hole and was discovered shortly after.
The deceased was in his ninth year and was a bright active little chap
and was liked by all who knew him.
The funeral took place on Tuesday, July 4th. It was largely attended.
The body was laid to rest at Brown's yard cemetery. Funeral service
was
conducted at both the home and grave by Rev. Mr. SHADDUCK. The
pallbearers where David McEACHERN, William McEACHERN,
William FAHEY and Robert FAHEY.
Since no William or Robert feature in my own Fahey branches, I'm
wondering if my guy -- Philip Fahey from Dublin, Ireland -- could have
had a brother. And did they marry Hammond sisters from Maitland? My gg
grandmother was Sarah Jane Hammond who had her first child with Philip
in 1837.
