OBITUARY
The death of Cardie Arthur Ripley occurred suddenly Thursday morning at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. Noble Rushton, Central Ave. The
deceased, who was 83 years of age, had been a resident of Amherst for
the past forty years. He is survived by three sons and four daughters.
The sons are Frank Ripley of Lynn, Mass., Johnson and Laurie both of
Amherst; the daughters are Mrs. Harry Cooke and Mrs. Willis Rushton of
Lynn, Mass., Mrs. Ezra Smith of Kingston, Ont., and Mrs. Noble Rushton,
of Amherst. There also survive two brothers, Bowden of Fenwick and
Burton in New Glasgow and one sister, Mrs. Ephriam Smith of Nappan. The
remains are resting at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rushton, from
which place the funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30
