BUDD, Clifford Burton - 77, Collingwood, Cumberland Co., passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 19, 2007, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Pugwash with his family by his side. Born in New Scotland, Westmorland Co., N.B., he was a son of the late Wilfred H. and Annie (Randall) Budd. He was in fellowship with the Christians gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at the Oxford Gospel Hall. As a young man, he worked on the family farm with his father. He was employed for a number of years with the Canadian National Railway and following this he was employed as a boiler operator with the oil rigs in Alberta until the time of his retirement. He was a lover of the outdoors. He was always interested in talking to people about the things of the Lord. Surviving are his wife, the former Olive May Mercer; children, Stephen Budd (Carlene), Saint John, N.B.; Norma Jones (Eric), British Columbia; Michael Budd, Rexton, N.B.; grandchildren, Beth, Jennifer, Melonie, Jerry, Nick, Joshua, Jessie, Jonathan, Jason, and Melissa; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Budd (Eleanor), Cecil Budd, both of Moncton, N.B.; Winston Budd (Wanda), Saint John, N.B.; sisters, Marjorie Rand (Charles), Moncton, N.B.; Edna Bagnell (Ansley), Truro. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Marjorie E. Seaman; son, David W. Budd; brother, Gordon Budd. Visitation will be this afternoon and this evening with a funeral service Wednesday, August 22, at 11 a.m., both in Allen's Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, Mr. David Hunt and Mr. Paul Robertson officiating. Interment will take place in Gladeside Cemetery in Gladeside, N.B. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Gideon Bibles or a charity of your choice. On-line condolences may be sent to:
