HERRETT, David Lorne - 82, Wyndham Hill, passed away Monday, August 6, 2007, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Wyndham Hill, he was a son of the late George and Annie (Cotton) Herrett. David worked in the woods, in both the logging and sawmill industries. While living in British Columbia, he worked for B.C. Rail for a number of years. Upon returning home, he was employed with Star Insulators. Throughout his life, David liked being outdoors and working in the woods. He enjoyed hunting, treasure hunting and being with his family. David and his wife had been active members of the Church of the Nazarene in Oxford. He is survived by his wife, the former Willena Allen; sons, Lorne (Terri), Williams Lake, B.C.; Stephen (Margaret), Hansford; Andrew, Kamloops, B.C.; daughter, Jane (John) Roblee, Hansford; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Rosco and Roger; a sister in infancy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, Oxford (447-2930). Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Church of the Nazarene, Oxford, with Pastor Bob Barnes officiating.
